Magnificent Affairs Event Planning brings a breath of fresh air to the city of Columbus with a unique concept and mission. Founded by Taressa Caldwell, a Northern Kentucky University graduate, as a one-woman party planning service. Magnificent Affairs is designed to encourage community, education and imagination. Aware that you every event is unique, Magnificent Affairs can offer a number of possibilities that would be perfect for your theme and created at a price fit for your budget.
From BIRTHDAY PARTIES, to BOOK DRIVES and even TEAM BUILDING RETREATS, Magnificent Affairs specializes in D.I.Y customization and youth events.

Taressa's two favorite celebrations were christmas and her birthday.
Every year, she waited patiently for Christmas because she knew she would be getting a box filled to the rim with books from Santa. Her birthday was no different. Even if her mother didn't have much to spare, Taressa could always count on a small get toghether with family, friends, cake and ice cream
While away at college, she joined a number of executive board positions as special event coordinator for many of the organizations on campus and she fell in love with the work. Taressa, moved back to Columbus and without much luck securing a job in her field, decided to get into childcare. She applied at a center near her home and was hired on the spot for her enthusiasm with the children.
From the moment she was hired, she realized her love for children was more powerful and much more stronger than she remembered. In fact, it is the joy those kids brought to her that ignited a passion so strong that she had to do something. Hence, Magnificent Affairs was born.
Many of the children, she has worked with, come from low income families and often time the parents are struggling to make ends meet. Hearing that a child had never been read to nor celebrated a birthday was heartbreaking. Taressa set out to create an organization that is for the kids created by the BIG KID in her.
Born and Raised In Columbus Ohio, Taressa grew up in a silly household. Fun was always the game and the laughs were always the same. Growing up, she got a kick out of hanging with friends and going to parties but she loved reading, most of all.
